Excerpt from the Introduction by Jackson:

"I was dead!  No heartbeat.  No breath.  No physical activity and my crumpled lifeless body laid there about as active as a living room couch. 

While playing in the barn on a farm where I grew up in upstate New York, I died in an accident that changed my life forever.  I saw what people refer to as the big round “tunnel” of brilliant white light.  I drew nearer and could see and speak to family members that had long been dead.  I spoke to brilliant, beautiful Angels…Beings of Light that spoke to me telepathically.  They were more like glowing shapes of light and rainbow colors than human-like forms.  A massive, booming yet soft, strong voice seemed to come from all around me and told me, “You are safe…yet you must go back now, for your work is not yet done.”  I was a KID!!!  What work did I have to do!!??

Instantly I found myself floating near the ceiling of the barn, above my lifeless body which lay crumpled in a heap on the hay covered floor below me.  I was completely lucid, aware, and able to think, ‘speak’, reason, and move. Within a few moments I drew near my body and then instantly my perception shifted from looking at my body, to suddenly being back inside of it.  I found myself attempting to gain my breath and heartbeat again. 

This type of experience is called an NDE because most people do not believe a person can come back from being dead. However, I assure you that myself and many others across the planet have done exactly that.  We have returned to tell our story.  For me, it would be decades before I realized the importance of this not-so-coincidental “accident”.  As fate would have it, my mom was very spiritual in nature and explained to me about NDE’s and OBE’s.  She even let me read some of her spiritual books such as “Seth Speaks” along with dozens of others as I tried to make sense of what had happened to me...and what was in fact still happening to me..."
